Or, I'm running out of gas and this will be short and make no sense.

The last car down the track for the weekend Greg Leahy in the new Roly Leahy tribute car that was going to the NHRA Museum after the event. That trip will be delayed for some major repiar work after he got crossed up and whacked the guardwall.

 

 

 

 

 

Of couse any CHRR is full of special recognitions and tributes. With the passing of the legendary Joaquin Arnett just weeks ago, the entire Bean Bandit clan came to honor one of the true pioneers of drag racing.

 

 

 

At the track on Saturday the Standard 1320 Group had their annual CHRR group photos.

 

The Yeakel Plymouth bunch had this cool Lions banner made. It is a copy of the sign that hung on the tower side of the track for over 15 years.

 

The most photographed car of the weekend was Tom Hanna's incredible creation sporting a beautiful new candy red and gold leaf paint job.

 

 

The CHRR marked the debut of the Drag Sport Illustreated CD set and they were well received to say the least. DSI Online

 

 

The Museum folks sold out of Cacklefest T-shirts before Sunday - again!

On Thursday there was a mandatory meeting of everyone involved in the Cacklefest. Steve Gibbs and Greg Sharp laid down the law and for the most part everyone got it.
