The event kicked off Wednesday with Automobile Classics Movie Night. Everyone met at Heroes at 5 p.m. for a get together and Cruise to the Muck led by Candy Clark of American Graffiti. Classic Car Flick under the stars and two cackles by John Ewald in the BankAmericar fuel dragster.

There was no shortage of classic drag racing cars and this was made possible by Fred Crow who paid to have them brought over from the NHRA Motorsports Museum.

Adding to the gas crowd enjoyment was John Peter's Freight train...sounding real healthy...

Chet Herbert dropped by, nice having his name on the car as our cam supplier.

Adding to the list of celebs getting seat time in the BankAmericar was Candy Clark of the American Graffiti fame. She wasn't sure about it at first but certainly enjoyed the cackle. AG co-star, Cindy Williams got a fire-up in the car at the 2005 SF Grand National Roadster Show.

Thumbs up says it all.

05-25-05: Our fun never ends...LOL I took the BankAmericar down to Paint N Place to be used in the background for the shooting of a Overhaulin TV show. The crew is doing a '69 Roadrunner, they "stole" the car from a guy who lives not far from Jerry's shop. The guy has been all over town looking for his car, he may be pissed now but when he gets it back totally restored with a new crate 426 in it I think he will forgive them. Star of the show, Chip Foose thought he had died and go to heaven when he first saw the dragster last night, he climbed in and sat in it for over an half hour. I hadn't planned on firing it but we decided to give him a thrill tonight so I brought the nitro and starting gear down and with Alex, Bob and Mario we gave the TV crew & Chip a show. I don't know when it will air yet but Chip was wired and he was talking while we cackleled him...wonder if any of his voice will come through. He said it was one of his all time thrills. The studio lights killed some of the flame but it still shot well. John E

Without the studio lights the ol Bank flames were up there. Later in the evening after Chip's cackle we put Jerry Seivers daughter in the car and gave her a "ride". I think Jerry was more excited than she was... John E

Ashely Force got a cackle at the Force Racing open house.

Route 66 - Paul Peterson of the old Donna Reed Show...he's a real gear head and enjoyed his ride...he said the last time he sat in a FED was Don Purdhomme's at San Fernando while making a movie.

World famous custom car guru George Barris gets a fire-up in the BankAmeicar - he likes it!
