Bud Hammer raced up another win the Jr. Fuel defeating Bob Lander in the final with a 7.082 at 185.87 to a shut off 8.255 at 137.93.

Mike Smith captured the first win in the newly established 7.0 Pro class by defeating Ken Rappaport 7.106 at 175.74 to a game 7.161 at 191.48.

AA/Gas saw another repeat winner in Sean Renteria who got the best of an out of shape Mike Leonard in the final 6.772 at 209.20 to a losing 9.201 at 96.94.

The old vet Jess Sturgeon captured the NE-1 crown by defeating Dan Schrokosch with a perfect 7.600 to a losing 7.603. Can't get no better than that!

The NE-2 champ was Dan See who defeated Jay Huckleberry who ran to quick in the final.

The lone female champ was Linsey Lister in NE-3 who got the best of Mike Brock in the final.

Brad Chafee took all the marbles in A-Gas by defeating Ray Martin in the final 7.799 0.199 to 8.104 0.504.

This was obviously a good weekend for red cars as the B-Gas winner was another Chevy II driven by Jerry Jahnsen who got the win early when Jim Teague went red.

Driver Garry Wheeler is out of Wagoner, OK, and this A-Fuel car is out of Grand Prix Auto Parts in Tulsa. Car owner is John Brooks. Garry always puts on a crowd pleasing, furious burnout and ran hard all weekend, going through rounds and racing in the final against Kin Bates.

Wes VanDusen came down from Edmonton, Canada to spend the weekend with his old friend and partner Terry Capp who was in the seat of the Bubble Up flopper. Wes was with Terry and Bernie Fedderly when they had the Wheeler Dealer Top Fuel and Funny Car.

 

 

 

It was good to see James Warren and Roger Coburn out together with this NE-2 car.
